Interested in taking part in the ASCEnD trial?
You can register your interest in taking part in ASCEnD via Research+Me. It’s a registry for people who want to find out about ways to take part in research. Remember, you can choose to withdraw from the trial at any time.
When you fill in the Research+Me registration form, it will help us to see if you might be eligible to take part in the ASCEnD trial.
When your nearest trial site is open and ready to accept more participants, we will send you an email about what to do next.
(If you prefer, your GP or another member of your healthcare team can also refer you. A list of our UK sites can be found here.)
Am I eligible?
We are looking for people in England diagnosed with bipolar who are currently experiencing depression.
You may be able to take part in this trial if you:
Have bipolar.
Are currently experiencing depression.
Are older than 18.
Are not currently breastfeeding, pregnant or planning on becoming pregnant during the trial.
Meet other criteria (which a study doctor will talk about with you).
You can enter the trial if you and your doctor think that quetiapine, or the combination of aripiprazole and sertraline, would be equally helpful as the next step in your treatment.
For more details, please read the patient information sheet.
